Oops... this is harder to keep up than I thought it would be :)

Ok, so maybe this blogging thing wasn't the best idea. I thought for sure I would keep it up and here it is, 2 months later, and I haven't even updated it.

Well let me see, we went to California and stayed with my husbands cousin and close friends. We had such an amazing time. It started out, we drove to Vegas and stayed at The South Pointe Hotel & Casino.

We had a lot of fun playing some slots, and wished we could have stayed longer, about 2:00am we craxhed and called it a night. Woke up had breakfast and we hit the road.

Our next stop: Hollywood, California.

Ok so first let me say, the traffic WOW!!! Its crazy that its so caotic, and yet the drivers are still very courteous. It was very weird. Anyways once we got there, the weather was a perfect 72 deg. only thing that could have been better is if it hadn't be foggy! We were hungry so we got settled and headed out to eat. I had never been to an In N Out Burger, so we decided it was time I tried it. Can I say "YUMMY!" I loved it.

After we were all full, we headed out to do a little sight seeing. We drove through the Hollywood Hills, and we even got to see the Hollywood Sign!

It was quite the experience. We then went to Hollywood Boulevard, which was so cool. They were filming "MOBBED" and we got to see Napolean D'umo (the choreographer) It was awesome to watch them filming. We also saw the Chinese Theatre, The Hollwood Stars, went to The Grove (had cocktails and calamari) and checked out the mall!

That night we had a couple of drinks, went and met up with some friends, and hung out. Then we went to the Surly Goat and I tried some nasty beer, yuck! Then we went to the best pizza place Ive ever been to The Rainforest, it was amazing (sesame seed crust)

I wish we had one here, oh! and I wish we had a Jack in the Box too. We are missing out big time.

The next day we went to Zuma beach. It was a beautiful day, we took the top off the jeep and cruised all the way down Sunset Blvd. until we hit the ocean.

We cruised through Malibu, and then played in the water at Zuma Beach. We had a fantastic time.

The next day everyone had to work, so we were on our own. We took our time, went to breakfast, went back to Hollywood Blvd and we went to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum... it was a really fun experience.

The next day we went to Griffith Observatory and then to City Walk @ Universal Studios

Overall we had an amazing time. Lots of great company, yummy food and new memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. We will definately go back, but next time we will save up and fly. The drive just takes way too long. Well I feel better now this is at least some what updated. More to come soon. We just had our family pictures done. I will be posting them soon!

Taking Photo's!

So taking photo's is definately my passion. I wish that I could afford to invest some really money into equipment, lighting, backdrops and props. But everything is just so expensive. So I've decided to do what I can when I can. Basically Im gonna keep my eye opens for great deals, drop in to the D.I. every now and then and watch KSL.com for some deals. I know most photographers that have all the cool stuff that I want, probably did it the same way. Anyways I thought I would share a few of my favorite.

My Husband...

So, I know everyone says "My husband is amazing" but for me... its true and so much more. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful man in my life. He is unlike any man I've ever met. He is strong when he needs to be, but he is also so sweet and sincere. He is smart, and funny and so talented. He is such a guy in so many ways, but he isnt afraid to help around the house or watch a chick flick. He is always there for his family and friends, and I know that any time I need him, he is there for me. We have been through a lot in our 2 1/2 years of marriage. Mostly the thing that has been the hardest has been the struggle of not being able to start a family. It has really put a lot of pressure on our relationship. But his courage and strength never seem to amaze me. He is the type of man who was born to be a daddy. I want nothing more than to make this happen. He is so great with our nieces and nephews, and he has the patience of a saint. I think with this man by my side, I can do anything. I just wanted to share a little bit about the man I am sharing my life with.

Here are a couple of my favorite pictures!

My family...

Lately I have been thinking a lot about how much my family means to me, and how I wouldn't be where I am, or who I am today, without them. I have been through some pretty heavy stuff and some really rocky times in my life, and they have always been there for me, to pick me up and help me through it all. My addiction battle started when I was 19 years old. I was just barely out of high school and my boyfriend (and later fiance) was using and I ended up trying Meth (let the record state that I in no way, shape or form, blame anything on him) I was instantly addicted. All it took was that one time, that was it. My whole life changed that day... I started using on a regular basis, and it resulted in me making a whole lot of really BAD decisions. I moved to Scottsdale, AZ with my boyfriend, we got engaged, got our own place, and for the most part, I thought we were happy and we seemed to have it all. But the more money he made, the more drugs we got, and the deeper in to addiction we fell. He ended up becoming very abusive, and things got very bad. When I finally got to my breaking point, my family was there to help me out. No questions asked... they just came and took me home. It seems like at theis point I should say: Oh, I was so lucky and I realized what was wrong, and decided to change my life... Oh dont I wish!!! Instead I convinced my family and friends that I was better, and I started hanging out with people who weren't good for my sobriety, it took me another 5 years of using, some pretty serious criminal charges and 3 trips to Salt Lake County Jail, before they finally arrested me, and this time, my family who had been there to bail me out in the past... decided maybe I should stay in Jail. Starting September 17th, 2006 I was in SLC Jail for over 45 days, and I still swear up and down, that my family saved my life, by leaving me in there. I was forced to be sober, had 3 meals a day, I was on a schedule, and I had nothing but time to think about all the horrible things I had done... it was my "ROCK BOTTOM" as they call it. Once I finally got sentenced, I was court ordered to complete a rehabilitaion program... let me just say *AMAZING* Davis Behavioral did something to me that I can never thank them enough for. Im not giving them all the credit though. I had to do a lot of work on myself and I had to talk about all the terrible things I had done. It was so hard, but it made me so much stronger. My family was there with me the entire time.

Anyways I am supposed to be blogging, not making this a novel, but I want to thank my amazing family. My Father who has been an inspiration my entire life. He is the kind of father most only dream of, and the kind of man, all boys want to be like.

My mother and my step-father Scott. They have always been there to lend a hand or offer support. My mom has become one of my closest friends in the past 5 years and I am grateful everyday.

...and then there is my sister.  My sister is the best friend a person could ever ask for. She is loyal, and honest (even when it hurts). She always thinks of others and she would do anything for anyone. She is sincere and just amazing all over. She is one of the best mothers to my 2 beautiful nieces, and a wonderful wife to her husband. She stood by my side when I thought I was alone. She is and always will be my BFF!!!

Last but not least are my 2 beautiful nieces. They have changed my life in so many ways I dont even know where to begin. I have learned so much about life and patience and strength from these girls. They have verified what I have always wanted, to have a family some day. I am so thankful to have them in my life and to have the opportunity to be in theirs!

WOW!!! I am a blogger!

Wow.
This is something that I have always wanted to do. It just seems like so much fun. I love looking at other peoples. I think its so interesting to see what is going on in other peoples lives. I'm sure its mostly because I'm nosy, and this way I get to see and hear whats going on without having to ask ;) It makes me feel good to know that my either family who lives far away, or people I went to school with, are doing well. Everyone gets so wrapped up in their lives, its hard to keep in touch.

Anyways a little about me. I am 29 years old, I am married to a wonderful man, Kurt Seddell

We live in North Salt Lake. I grew up in Woods Cross, and he grew up in Lake Point. We got married on April 25th, 2009, and now we are trying to start a family. Unfortunately that is more of a problem than we ever expected. We have been trying for a a little over a year now, and in March we found out we were pregnant, but then immediatley after, we found out we were having a miscarriage (at 8 weeks) the silver lining throught this whole ordeal is we found out that we are actually able to get pregnant. So we are looking forward to starting the process of trying again in in August. On a brighter note, we are getting ready to go on our FIRST VACATION as a couple (Honeymoon didn't really count, since it was paid for by my dad) but this is one we have been saving up for. We are going to Los Angelos for 4 wonderful days. I cant wait. Well, I am going to wrap this up. Hopefully these post will become a habit and I will keep updating!!!
